A Royal Estate in the Hills of Chhota Udepur
Darbargadh Kadval is a royal heritage homestay in Chhota Udepur, set across 13 acres of greenery. Built in 1897, it offers a peaceful stay surrounded by hills, nature, and history.
Accommodation at the Darbargadh is thoughtfully divided into three distinct categories — the Palatial Suite, Heritage Rooms, and Cottage Rooms — each offering a different perspective of the estate’s character.
1. Palatial Family Suite
The Palatial Family Suite represents the most refined expression of Kadval’s royal legacy. Designed within the original palace structure, it reflects the grandeur and scale of late eighteenth-century aristocratic living. The royal suite has 2 bedrooms, heritage interiors, hill views, AC, and attached bathrooms.
Ideal for families and groups.

2. Heritage Room
The Heritage Rooms preserve the architectural grace of the Darbargadh while offering a warm and intimate retreat.
Overlooking gardens or open countryside, the Heritage Rooms allow guests to wake to birdsong and soft morning light filtering through verandahs that have stood for more than a century. They are particularly suited for heritage travellers, weekend visitors from Vadodara and Ahmedabad, and those exploring nearby Champaner and Jambughoda.

3. Cottage Room
Set slightly apart from the main palace structure, the Cottage Rooms offer a more relaxed and countryside-oriented experience. Surrounded by greenery and open spaces, these accommodations reflect the simplicity of rural Gujarat while maintaining comfort and privacy.
The cottages provide a peaceful alternative for families, group travellers, and corporate retreats seeking both heritage ambience and accessibility. These Rooms are located within the estate, ensuring proximity to gardens, activity zones, and the tranquil atmosphere that defines Kadval Darbargadh.
