Kadval Darbargadh
An 1897 European-Style Royal Mansion in the Hills of Chhota Udepur
Built in 1897 by the rulers of the Parmar dynasty, originally from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh, Kadval Darbargadh is a rare European-style mansion set within 13 acres of lush countryside in Kadval village.
With its striking Doric columns, symmetrical wings, grand porch, and airy verandahs, the Darbargadh offers sweeping views of surrounding hills — home to nilgai, wild boar, peacocks, and migratory birds during winter.

The Kadval Legacy
Kadval Darbargadh is a 130-year-old royal residence of the Parmar Dynasty, established in Gujarat by rulers originally from Malwa. It remains owned and inhabited by the same family, preserving not just its architecture, but its lineage and way of life.
Its original structure, proportions, and atmosphere have been carefully maintained over generations. Modern comforts are introduced only where essential, ensuring the experience remains authentic, spacious, and calm. The emphasis is not on luxury in excess, but on dignity, character, and continuity.
